SharePoint Fast Track Solution

Business Challenge
In general, SharePoint is a very robust and easy-to-use collaboration tool for large and small enterprises alike. Installing SharePoint and making it available to a larger group is relatively easy and does not require deep technical skill. However, poor planning or no planning can lead, very quickly, to failed implementations and dissatisfied users as a result of poor adoption, governance, improperly architected solutions and low content findability. These are the types of challenges Consejo helps our clients overcome.

The Fast Track Solution
We understand that a tool is only as good as the implementation and that technology alone does not solve problems -- people, the right technology solution and solid business processes solve problems. Consejo's Fast Track program is targeted to quickly and effectively provide the right information to your team, develop an initial implementation based on best practices and share good governance, process and management practices that help your firm develop a successful SharePoint-based solution.

To that end, Consejo has developed two Fast Track offerings. The first, Fast Track to SharePoint Foundation, is targeted to companies wishing to develop internally or externally-facing collaboration facilities that include basic document management/sharing and list management (e.g. issues, tasks, calendaring). The second offering, Fast Track to SharePoint Server 2010, is targeted to companies wishing to develop robust internally or externally facing portals that include content management, profiling, personalization and enterprise search features. Fast Track to SharePoint Foundation Includes:

• Installation and configuration of SharePoint Foundation in your environment
• Create primary site collection for your collaborative site
• Configure overall site collection navigation (sites and subsites)
• Add company logo and change theme to match logo colors
• Modify security and create a customized company site template for creating standard internal collaboration site for your firm
• Provide a 1/2 day training course for your technical staff (up to 5 people)
• Documented implementation in our Technical Brief format
• Turn over completed SharePoint environment to you

Project Timeline

This type of Fast Track project typically lasts one week from the initial onsite visit through the completion of the solution. At the end of the engagement, your business will have an operational SharePoint solution that will assist in making your business more effective and efficient.

Fast Track Cost: $7,000 (US)

Fast Track to SharePoint Server 2010 Includes:

• Installation and configuration of SharePoint Server 2010 in your environment
• Develop overall, high-level SharePoint taxonomy for your intranet
• Configure standard services applications like Search, Profiles and Managed Metadata
• Development and implement five content types specific to your organization
• Create up to two customized site templates for provisioning new sites within your environment
• Migrate existing content for up to three single departments using our migration methodology and automated toolset
• Provide a two day training course for your technical staff (up to 5 people)
• Two days of strategic intranet consulting designed to help you make the most of your new SharePoint-based intranet
• Provide "wireframe" representations of portal pages, detailing how all of the elements fit together
• Documented implementation in our Technical Brief format

Project Timeline

The Fast Track project typically lasts five weeks from the initial onsite visit through the completion of the solution. At the end of the engagement, your business will have an operational SharePoint solution that will assist in making your business more effective and efficient.
